Fireworks safety & legal guidelines
Who can buy and use fireworks
Fireworks in the Philippines are regulated under Republic Act 7183. Only adults (18+) may purchase from Pyro Iloco Fireworks Shop. Some cities and municipalities ban or restrict firecracker use entirely, or limit it to designated community areas — always check your barangay or LGU's current ordinance before using any product. We only sell legal, permitted pyrotechnic products; prohibited items like piccolo are never sold here.
Before use
Store fireworks in a cool, dry place away from children, heat, and open flame. Keep them in original packaging. Never carry fireworks in your pocket. Choose a wide, open outdoor area away from houses, vehicles, dry grass, and power lines. Have a bucket of water or a hose ready before you light anything.
During use
Adults only — never let children light fireworks, including luces/sparklers without close supervision. Light one item at a time, at arm's length, then step back immediately. Never hold a lit firework in your hand and never point or throw one at people, animals, or buildings. Never relight a dud: wait 20 minutes, then soak it in water. Avoid alcohol when handling fireworks.
After use
Soak all used and dud fireworks in water before disposal. Clean up debris — leftover devices can still ignite. If a burn or injury occurs, run cool (not ice-cold) water over the burn and seek medical help immediately; go to the nearest hospital for anything worse than a minor burn. The DOH runs an annual fireworks injury watch every December–January; don't be part of the statistics.
By ordering from Pyro Iloco Fireworks Shop, you confirm you are at least 18 years old and agree to use all products responsibly and in accordance with national law and your local government's regulations.
